Welcome to our school volunteering page.

On this page you will find out about the different roles available through Kernow Learning and what it means to join our Kernow Learning family.

Our amazing volunteers make a huge difference to our children's education, by bringing a rich diversity of skills and experiences which helps us to provide the best possible education for all children regardless of their starting point and background. 

No two volunteer roles will be the same, however, here are a list of typical roles that you might be interested in:

  • Reading champions
  • Helping on school trips
  • Classroom assistance
  • Sharing your professional skills
  • Enhancing playtime and lunchtime experiences
  • Painting, gardening, or carrying out maintenance work
  • Helping with events or school productions
  • Parent Teacher Association Member
  • Volunteer translators for pupils where English is not their first language
